Check out the sights and atmosphere of the bustling Independence Day festival held last Friday, July 1 in downtown Athens, Ga! Washington street was shut off and crowded with festivalgoers enjoying many different food trucks and activities. The fireworks were launched from the rooftop parking deck of the Classic Center, capping off the festival which cost the Athens Downtown Development Authority approximately $80,000 to put on.
